Stress & Anxiety Support
A natural, safe, drug-free way
to release tension, stress & anxiety
Introduction
Stress and anxiety can make it difficult to feel settled, present, and at ease in your own life. You may notice that your mind is constantly anticipating what could go wrong, your body feels tense or activated, sleep becomes more difficult, or it becomes hard to simply relax and enjoy the present moment. Mark offers an individualized, holistic approach designed to help you better understand your stress responses, develop practical ways to regulate them, and create greater calm, balance, and resilience in everyday life.
Understanding Stress & Anxiety
Stress is a natural response to pressure, challenge, uncertainty, and change. In short periods, it can help us respond to what life requires. When stress becomes persistent, however, it can begin to affect emotional well-being, sleep, concentration, physical comfort, and the way we experience everyday life. Anxiety may include worry, apprehension, nervousness, physical tension, racing thoughts, or a persistent sense that something is wrong or about to happen. For some people, the source of anxiety is clear. For others, anxious feelings seem to arise unexpectedly or without an obvious reason. Rather than treating these experiences as something you should simply be able to “turn off,” Mark helps you become more aware of what your mind and body are communicating and develop healthier ways of responding.
Working With the Mind and Body
Stress and anxiety are not experienced only through thought. They can also show up through changes in breathing, muscle tension, restlessness, sleep, digestion, concentration, energy, and other physical responses. Because of this, Mark’s approach works with both the psychological and physical experience of stress.
Depending upon your needs, sessions may include:
- Hypnotherapy and guided imagery
- Nervous-system regulation
- Breathing and grounding practices
- Life coaching
- Mind-body awareness
- Meditation and relaxation techniques
- Identifying stressful thought and behavioral patterns
- Developing healthier boundaries
- Reframing fear-based expectations
- Strengthening confidence and a sense of inner safety
- Learning practical ways to respond to triggers and stressful situations
The goal is not to eliminate every uncomfortable feeling or create a life in which nothing stressful ever happens. It is to help you develop greater capacity to remain connected to yourself when stress does arise.
Developing Greater Inner Regulation
Although we cannot always control what happens around us, we can develop greater flexibility in how we respond. Part of Mark’s work focuses on helping you recognize when your system has moved into a state of activation, worry, tension, or overwhelm—and learning ways to gently return toward greater regulation and balance. Over time, this may help you experience more space between an event and your reaction to it. Instead of automatically becoming caught in fear, worry, or tension, you can begin developing additional choices:
- pausing rather than immediately reacting
- grounding yourself in the present moment
- recognizing when the mind is projecting into the future
- understanding what your body is asking for
- setting healthier limits and boundaries
- responding to yourself with greater patience and compassion
- taking practical action when action is needed
- allowing yourself to rest when pushing harder is not the answer
The aim is not emotional perfection. It is greater flexibility, awareness, and confidence in your ability to navigate what life brings.

Hypnotherapy for Stress & Anxiety
Hypnosis can provide an opportunity to step temporarily out of habitual patterns of mental activity and enter a more focused and relaxed state. Within that setting, Mark may use guided imagery, suggestion, body awareness, emotional processing, or other individualized approaches to help you practice new ways of responding to stress and anxious thoughts. You remain aware and in control throughout the process.

Learning Skills You Can Use on Your Own
An important part of Mark’s approach is helping you develop resources that are available outside the session. These may include breathing practices, grounding techniques, self-hypnosis, meditation, nervous-system regulation exercises, changes in perspective, healthier boundaries, or other practical strategies. The intention is not to make you dependent upon sessions. It is to strengthen your ability to understand and support yourself in everyday life.
Moving Toward Greater Ease
Inner peace does not require the outside world to become perfectly predictable. A large part of developing greater emotional balance involves learning how to remain connected to yourself even when circumstances are uncertain, demanding, or outside your control. Mark’s approach is designed to help you cultivate greater awareness, regulation, self-trust, and compassion so that stress no longer has to dominate your experience of life.
